Man arrested in Hartford double shooting

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a 29-year-old man has been arrested in shootings in Hartford that killed one person and injured another.

Police say Abdul-Hakim Ali of East Hartford was arrested Sunday in a hotel room in New London and faces charges including murder and assault.

Police say they responded to reports of gunfire on Thursday and found two people who had been shot: 35-year-old Ross Stone of West Hartford and 25-year-old Elijah Adorno of Hartford.

Stone was pronounced dead at the hospital. Adorno was listed in stable condition on Thursday night.

Ali is being held on $1 million bond and is expected to appear in court on Monday. It was not immediately clear Sunday whether he has an attorney.
