Connecticut lawmakers on Tuesday granted final legislative approval to extending Gov. Ned Lamont's emergency powers during the COVID-19 pandemic to May 20. The vote came despite concerns raised by Republicans who argued it's time for the General Assembly to take back its authority. Meanwhile, a party attended by more than 100 people at a small house near the University of Connecticut has resulted in two arrests and an investigation by school officials into possible student conduct violations. Also, Tuesday, advocates for people with disabilities filed a formal complaint over Connecticut's plan to provide "priority access" to vaccines for people with certain disabilities.
