Lamont files paperwork for possible 2022 re-election bid

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont says he has filed the necessary paperwork to begin the process of possibly running for a second term in the 2022 election. Lamont, a Democrat, told reporters on Monday that he has to formally make up his mind "in the months to come" but figured he should be prepared and should file the paperwork and "get this thing going." The 67-year-old says he loves the job, believes he and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, who also filed her paperwork, are making a difference and that the state is much better off today than it was four years ago
