Police: Investigating overnight shootings that injured 3

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) Police say they're investigating two Connecticut shootings that sent three people to the hospital.

The New Haven Police Department says two females were injured in a shooting Saturday night in New Haven. They were treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital and listed in stable condition.

A male victim was also injured in the shooting with a graze wound to the face. The shooting occurred as a cookout was ending in the Westville Manor complex.

It has not been determined if the shooter or victims were attending the cookout or were nearby.

A few hours later, a male victim walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police say it is unknown what time this second shooting occurred. Officials are seeking public input on the shootings.
