Man sentenced for distributing heroin to Monroe overdose victim

A Connecticut man has been sentenced for distributing heroin to an overdose victim.  35-year old Careem Bentley, also known as C-Lows" was ordered to 3 years in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.  The Bridgeport man's arrest followed a November 2016 overdose in Monroe.  Emergency responders were called to a Monroe home on a report of an unresponsive 37-year old man, who was later pronounced dead.  Investigators seized the victim’s cellphone, multiple folds of suspected heroin, and other items, and determined that the victim purchased heroin from Bentley.
