Suspects in car stolen from Brookfield lead Newtown Police in pursuit

Newtown Police are asking for the public's help in identifying people who led officers in a pursuit over the weekend in a car stolen from Brookfield.  Officers spotted a vehicle around 5:30pm Sunday on Route 34 near Toddy Hill Road, with a license plate that didn't match the vehicle.  The Newtown Bee reports that police tried to stop the driver, but they engaged police in a chase.  The white 2018 Nissan Altima had 3 or 4 occupants and was later located abandoned on Sugarloaf Road.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Newtown Police at 203-426-5841.
